SWUSY Alumni Reunion 2004

July 16-18, 2004
Fifty-five SWUSY alumni, 10 spouses, and 5 children attended the SWUSY Reunion in Dallas July 16-18. Participants came from all over the US, Israel, and Berlin. It was a remarkable weekend -- a chance to resume old friendships after many years, as well as to meet new friends. Eating, singing, davening, talking, guitar-picking, photo snapping and more eating were important parts of this event -- like every other SWUSY event in history!!!
After all these months of planning and waiting, the reunion went by so quickly!!! Now that it's over.... Check out the photos from the reunion. Write a post-reunion message in the Guest Book to reminsce about the weekend. Keep in touch with your old and new friends. And... start thinking about when and where we'd like to hold the next reunion!

Eric Rosenblum was crowned Miss SWUSY Reunion 2004 at a pageant that featured five former SWUSY regional presidents. The event, plus the sale of reunion tee shirts, raised $1200 for the Sigi and Ruth Izakson Scholarship Fund, which will be used for USY Israel Pilgrimage scholarships. Gary Leva prepared a beautiful video of Mrs. Ruth Izakson, reminiscing about how she and Uncle Sigi were involved in the creation of SWUSY more than 40 years ago. It is not too late to make your tax-deductible contribution to the Sigi and Ruth izakson Scholarship Fund! Gigi Zelinsky won the Mystery Faces contest (the page has now been updated with the names). She only got 4 entries correct - including her own - but since she was the only person to actually send in her guesses, she won the a nice bottle of Dalton (Israeli) Merlot.
